Remote Monitoring

One or more phones around the house can be used to monitor/ visually check on rooms.

Choose a good location for a phone charger/stand where it can see a large part of a room.

• Use the phone camera to visually check if everything is ok.
• Listen for sounds of distress or activity.
• planned feature not v1. Make a call and have it auto-answer in 'speaker mode' so you can talk.
• planned feature not v1. last movement/noise report, see when there was last movement in the camera view

Respectful

This is not a snooping phone, not a doorbell that always records activity or a hidden camera watching your every move.

• Limited period of monitoring : and ONLY after a missed call from a known/listed phone number.
• All phones beep and flash when monitoring.
• Video and sound uploaded to SUNDIAL, only accessible by the account holder, only kept until 1 hour after they are first viewed.

Extendable

Add multiple phones to the household, each is a mobile phone with it's own number, SUNDIAL monitors all of them and if one rings then they all do.

When you answer on another phone SUNDIAL.ICU automatically creates a conference call with the phone you called AND the phone they answered from, so you can speak normally.

• Have multiple phones "ring one answer on any".
• All phones monitor if there is a missed call on any of them.
• So long as it has a wireless charger, a camera and fits in a stand any working Android™ phone will do.

Requirements

SUNDIAL.ICU uses one or more simple Android™ phones to make and receive calls.

• A phone with a SIM and calling plan, with coverage/service in the place you intend to put the phone.
• A phone with wireless charging to avoid the fiddly wires and forgetting to plug it in.
• Calling credit on the phone for outbound calls & conference calls.
• A charging stand so the camera is not looking at the ceiling or desk!.
• Download and install the SUNDIAL.ICU app on the phone, and register it with your SUNDIAL.ICU account.

Remember if you want to use multiple phones in the house, SUNDIAL will ring them all (if they're in coverage & charged obviously) when you ring any one of them. When someone answers it creates a CONFERENCE CALL between the one called and the one answered.. This will incur call charges on both. Many phone providers allow very cheap calls between numbers on the same plan, or free minutes, so the costs can be managed, but you will be liable for the cost of calls.

SUNDIAL.ICU is not a mobile phone service provider, you will need a working Android™ phone with a SIM card and a data plan. It can connect to home wifi and use that for monitoring and control, but calls are made using the data plan.

• Built-in video calls from registered numbers.
• Monitoring with Live video & two way sound, with the phone in speaker mode.
• Conferencing via household wifi not phone-to-phone.
• Last movement / last noise report available if monitoring enabled
